The A. family (abbreviated for security reasons) is currently church planting among the U. people of Central Asia. Because of the political climate where they are working, the information we can provide is limited.
The A. family has been a part of Mercy Hill Church for many years. The U. people have a population of 12 million with only 200 believers. They are a Muslim people group who have had little access to the gospel.
The first missionary effort was destroyed in the 1930's when persecution arose and believers were either killed or fled the country. Today, due to persecution among U. believers, the A. family's work must be done in secret. They and the team they are working with are currently leading a small underground church of 10 believers.
Jesus said, "Go, therefore into all the nations, baptizing them... and teaching them to obey all that I command..." (Matt. 27:19). It is our desire here at Mercy Hill Church to see men and women from every nation, tongue, and tribe share in the joy of knowing Jesus Christ. To this end the the A. family is working with this Muslim people group. Please pray for the U. people, the A. family, and the small church that is forming in Central Asia.
